link to the router.

im trying to get this router set up and i am having problems. it does not have a web interface. so i thought i would get on here and ask you guys for help.

RouterStation ships with Open-WRT Kamikaze, the de facto standard for open-source wireless router software.

Processor Specs - Atheros MIPS 24K, 680MHz
Memory Information - 64MB SDRAM, 16MB Flash
Networking Interface - 3X 10/100 BASE-TX (Cat. 5, RJ-45) Ethernet Interface
PCI Support - 3X 32-bit mini-PCI

im using one of the mini-PCI ports for WiFi

had to get it locally so it was about $340 for the board and wifi card. im sure you can get it much cheaper online though.


also i was looking into putting dd-wrt on it but on there site it says something about activating it does anyone know what that means.

Why DD-WRT and not a better router solution? How about m0n0wall since it supports WiFi cards?

dd wrt is the only thing i have heard of but i will now go look into m0n0wall.

got an issue i decided to try dd-wrt first. i have a computer hooked up to one of the nic ports.

then i connect to the router with the wifi connection and i vnc into the other computer but i keep loosing the connection.

i keep the connection to the router but not with vnc.
