I ran the ram @ 8-8-8-24 with stock 1.5v and it ran fine in prime95 blend, i quess it'll be a good idea to run memtest to reassure the stability. Isn't a lower timing number normally better? so if i can run them at 7-7-7-20 at a higher mhz near 1600, would it be better than running 1600 with 8-8-8-24?
did you ever get this fixed, i just built my system today, using the exact ram. mine say the same thing as yours. suppose to be pc3-12800, but showing up as pc3-8500f. speed shows 533Mhz(ddr3 1066) on mine. im new to all this, so trying to figure it out what all to change in the bios. i have the ex58-ud3r board.
