Are gigabytes motherboards any good

Thread Starter
I wanted a GA-EP45-DS3L and I was gonna put an E5200 in it. Any thoughts just wanted to overclock it. I don't want anything on you should get the ud3p I really can't.

Thanks in advance

Gigabytes are generally good boards and good overclockers. Your board isn't the top of the line but it should suit you perfectly for small overclocking.

Yes, I have multiple Gigabyte boards, all of them overclock very well, and I have never had a Gigabyte board fail on me like some other brands.

Gigabytes are good in general. Low DOA rate and OC pretty well. Their UD3P's are top of the line OCers right now.

Speaking of Gigabyte boards, have you taken a look at this one?

One of the best, if not, the best overclocking board for LGA775

i have been building pcs for quite sometime for freinds and family and there mates, i have only ever used gigabyte mobos and not once have a i had a drama. only time i stressed a lil was when a pc kept failing to boot, after a steady observation and a count to ten i realised i was trying to get 1100mhz ram into 1100max mobo, so i will swear by gigabyte and would say they are definatly leading the pack with regards to product life and durability

Hope your new purchase serves you well, if you go gigabyte i can pretty much guarentee a clean and stable system !!

thats my 2cents anyway !

Good luck !

Lol, read a little more carefully. Not trying to be an ass, I do it all the time too

UD3P's are amazing boards, but he stated he couldn't afford it and I'm sure his chip would limit the OC long before a P45 DS3L would

Anything P35 or P45 will oc a dual core very well. Gigabyte is a good brand, but I'm not so happy with their customer service right now (RMA'd back a dead board).
