Been thinking of going down the TEC route but im being put off by the sheer amount of insulation that you need to do

I can a 400w TEC plate for dirt cheap but it looks like i wont be doing it as i dont wanna spoil my mobo by putting crap all over the CPU

You also have to insulate any part of the motherboard that gets to a temperature below the dew point.

The TEC plates are cheep, but the power supply and the water cooling you need to run them is expensive.

You are aware that as one side of a TEC gets cold the other side gets hot.

Kneaded erasers. Cheap, effective, temporary, well, it's perfect actually.

yup and if you want I can show you a pic of my bloodiron... on which I put a 320W pelt... and at the current time I have replaced that with an apogee GTZ and if you worried about your warranty you can always call up the manufacturer (Evga,Asus... etc) and ask their policy on it... I know a few mobo companies will still take it.. anyways its all worth it believe me to see that -16C on your cpu temp believe me

man I hope so I'll be posting a log following all omaryunus and ira-k's guides. Insulation isn't really that hard or expensive. What sucks for me is I can't find any liquid electrical tape so I'm probably just going to make due with rubber silicone adhesive where I need it
