Just Wondering if this is a solid build?

3. RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145224

4. PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817139006

5. GPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814121289

6. HDD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136283

7. OS - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16832116488

8. Case - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119137

9. Optical Drive - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136153

12. Monitor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001262

So how good of a build is this looking to do a lot of encoding and maybe a overclock sometime.... Looking to add more RAM up to maybe 12Gb and then 2 more 1tb HDD Raid those...3TB HD....Then 2 more Opical drives One being bluray just so i can have 3 burners at one time....Hopefully these prices will drop sometime in the summer so this will be a cheaper build

Looks like a solid build. Newegg is having a sale on the CORSAIR CMPSU-1000HX which is similar to yours but much more powerful and modular for good cable management, with promo code 20PSUFEB you get 20% off of it and it has a $20 mail in rebate to bring the price down to about $160 shipped, which is pretty amazing. I would personally go for a much better video card but if you don't need it then why bother. Good luck!

Yeah man, you need more GPU horsepower even if it isn't a gaming machine. A 4830/8800GT or something of the sort would be FAR better for anything you would like to do. ...even only encoding.

That x1650 will cut your system off at the knees.

That 22 inch screen is going to make that gpu cry if you run any game or anything that needs good graphics.

For the price and the good RMA support from past experiences, I would take the Asus.

Just my .02. And its only 74USD after rebate for 8800GT levels of performance!
