Beside the overclocking guide recommended by crimsontears809739, which is very good to start with, there's this one out there which is also very good to read.

Happy overclocking!

both of the guides linked above have very good info and are very reliable... you can also try looking here for some more general info

http://www.overclock.net/intel-cpus/...on-thread.html

i do warn you, you might have to push up the Vcore quite a bit - the current E2***chips are not very good when it comes to OCing at low volts anymore.

welcome to OCN, hope you like it here

Alright so being the noob I am, I try overclocking and when I tried to set my fbs to 900 mhz and up the volt by about .15 I think I saved setings and
restarted. Now my computer does not boot up at all. I turn on power but on my monitor there is JUST BLANK screen. I took out the battery for over an hour and still didn't work. I tried to reset cmos by the jumpers and still didn't work. I'm going to leave the battery off overnight. But I was thinking maybe the cap off my jumper is not set the correct way I may be reseting wrong. This sucks. So what do I do hope that it works after I leave the battery off overnight? Is my motherboard or processor gone? Any help please? Here is the link for my mobo. Manual didn't help me, maybe it can help someone.

To reset the bios, you have unplug the computer from the wall sockect, move the reset jumper from pin 1-2 (2 leftmost pins) the pin 2-3 (2 rightmost pins), wait 5 to 10 seconds, move back the reset jumper to pin 1-2, replug the computer to the wall socket and start your computer.

Note that, in the bios, the base frequency of your E2200 is 200 and not 800mhz, so, trying to set the cpu's fsb to 900 is going way overboard. Try 266 first, this might be easier.

I tried reseting via the jumper and still no dice. Crap. The default value was 800 mhz when I was in the bios.
