Windows 7 with opengl? (CS 1.6)

Thread Starter
Windows 7 64bit doesn't seem to be compatible with opengl. Is there anyway way to get opengl working properly? It causes vertical scan lines.

I can't play CS with D3D; it skips frames and such.

P.S. I have a 8600M GT.

I dont get it .. why would you NOT want vsync anyways?

I know running cs in d3d probably sucks horribly. Vsync ROCKS! There is no point having your videocard shooting out all those frames that your monitor can't even show.

I had this same problem, but this fixed it perfectly. I've already PMed him about it, but for anyone else having this problem, try this. Use Rivatuner, and then

I don't take credit though, I got the instructions and screenshots from the Windows 7 forums, and it's worked so far. Good luck!

OpenGL and CS 1.6 both worked perfect on Windows 7 for me. Is this a common issue?

Must be since it also happened to me. It's not just the OP.

Edit: The new Nvidia drivers off of Windows update must have fixed it since it looks fine now.
