Saitek Cyborg KEYBOARD HELP?!?!

Thread Starter
Alright... I had no idea where to put a post about a KEYBOARD... =\\

I hope you guys can help me, or at least have someone look at this.

Alright, any other people out there with this keyboard? I have the very newest drivers and NONE of my media keys do anything and it's really annoying. I used to use my media keys on my last keyboard religiously. They keys are touch activated, and I know they're picking up the keypress because they blink when I touch them... They just do nothing. Play, pause, FF, mute, NOTHING!

Any ideas guys?

Oh, btw, the rest of the touch keys work as intended.

Another thing. I know my comp. is communicating with my media keys at least a little bit, because when I go into the volume control(on start bar, by clock) and fiddle the vol up and down, it registers on the volume indicator light. =\\

I've had this keyboard since xmas, and I'm out of ideas... Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys. =)

Peripherals forum. The one right above this one.

Try removing the drivers and reinstalling them.

sounds like it might be defective. by any chance is there software to control it beside the driver? some sort of macro editor? if so you might need it to set/ use the extra features.
also if a blue tooth keyboard, check to see if there is a firmware update. no it does not need to be wireless to be blue tooth.

Mine works fine, never had a problem with it so far. Heard some reviews about clunky spacebar and a few other problems, non of which I have seen even.

are you running 32 bit or 64 bit? cause you need to make sure the drivers are for the correct version of your OS

Personally, I just gave up with the media buttons, mine flash too so I'm in the same situation as you. I've heard unplugging and then plugging the USB connection after booting fixes this, but it's never worked for me.

This keyboard and it was not worth the money I spent on it. It's poorly designed; it does not grip well to surfaces; the space bar is clunky; I cannot get the media buttons to work either; the macro editing software is horrible and key combinations such as ctrl+alt+e (resulting in an é) require the user to release the keys before the character appears, hence the combination cannot be held down to repeat the character unlike on most keyboards.

Mine works without a hitch, either get the newest drivers for it or RMA it.

Hi Everyone!

I just got this keyboard for Christmas and had terrible trouble trying to get the volume controls to work. It took a while and I wish I had have figured it out sooner as it is fairly simple. I had the Human Interface Device Access service disabled. I started the service up and it worked immediately. Funnily enough I didn't have this problem with the media controls on my old Microsoft keyboard.

I hope this helps

Are you using Windows Media Player? I'm pretty sure the media buttons only work with it. Mine worked fine straight away
