Is there any distribution that is better or recommended for just folding? Thanks.
Download windows 7 Beta, get a key, free os. Grab a used 8800GS/8800GT/9600GT for little money and bam, decent little GPU folding rig. If you like this idea and cannot get an OS, there is a linux GPU with linux folding guide here somewhere.
That's my .02.
Although it just dawned on me probably no PCIe slot. Doh!
Even if you cannot do that with a linux distro that would probably work well as a cheap little folder. It would probably get about the same Points per day as a PS3. Just a thought.Edited by Tufelhunden - 2/17/09 at 8:16pm
