Wireless router needs to be reset for internet to work on computer --updated!

Thread Starter
I have Att dsl and have a dynex dx-wgrtr wireless router.Every so often the router needs to be unpluged and pluged back in to have the dsl work.

I already set up the router like the instruction manual said to,and I already flashed the fireware on it.

I don't want to have to buy another router.

I am stumped.Any suggestion?

????
It might be overheating, check it.
If it fells hot that there maybe something you need to do about that.
Other than what I said, I don't know.

over heating or over loading?
If you have to get a router get a dlink or linksys one.

Could be failing. I had my Linksys router start going on and off every so often and then it eventually failed.

It's not hot at all. There are at least 5 people in my condo building that have wireless routers.Maybe it is getting interference?

yea this used to happen to me i beleave it was a trendnet router i had it was free with a mail in rebate so i said what the hell, but anyways yes i found that the only way to solve this problem was with a new router, i think it may have something to do with electrical because mine only started doing this after a major power outage.

good luck and if you figure it out let us know cause i still got my old router in a box that i wanna fix.
