which barebone?

Alright, I am going to be buying an msi barebone, either the 1651 ID2 or ID3. The ID2 is silver and has 1680x1050 wsxga+ screen, the ID3 is red/black with a 1280X800 res screen.

Both have 9600m gt. I'll be using them to game on COD4, L4D, crysis and other games. Which one should I get based on res with respect to the graphics card and looks?

Go ID2 with wsxga+ they both have the same vid card, and the black/red one makes me think fatal1ty addition, which is overpriced. well i dont know the prices for each. gaming wise the ID2 with wsxga+ will look better, and perform about the same.

i know where hes getting it hehe

i bought the red one
9600m gt isnt that great, so you will end up playing cod4 at 1280x800 anyway, course you can still ge tthe black/grey one, and have the 1680x1050 res for desktop
also, the grey/black one also has a turbo button, beside theone button, they didnt mark it, but after a bios update its activated

Well that is what I am getting at. I don't mind lowering the res. It will be mostly just a backup rig and a moderate gaming machine for while I'm about. I'll keep my kick ass desktop for gaming!@

if you noticed, the black/grey one has a full copper heatsink, fins and all are copper, the red has alu fins
the panel abpove the keyboard is different between the 2
the frame is slightly thinker on the red

im used to the 1280x800 res, and the red one matches my s10, so i went ahead and got the red one
i like the red better anyway, they are both alu housings, both same mobo's, same support, different connectors on the lcd's so you cant switch them though

if your willing to wait a day, mine arrives tomorrow, and i have all the parts, just gotta install windows, i can give you a personal review on the red, and better pics
