E7200 OCing Question

Thread Starter
So im ocing my E7200 and im orthos stress testing it.Im getting good temps at 47 44c At full load.I put it up to 3.0 ghz with a couple notches up from stock volts so from like 1.05 to 1.05678 somthing dont kno adzact numbers,so the first try orthos stops so i boost up the volt 1.06765 somthing like that hopefully you get the idea so orthos has stopped a couple times should i just keep bumping up the volt till its stable? pretty much everytime orthos stopped i bumped up the volt.

if anyone has my mobo and cpu that has oced this. few tips would help

1.05v is a very low CPU voltage, you can easily set it to 1.25v and clock it up a bit more.

thats the vcore with speedstep enable if im not mistaken but you can be sure by looking at CoreTemp to see the actual VID, or.. you have a golden batch of E7xxx series .. anyway, most of E7xxx series can be undervolt to run at 2.8 - 3.0Ghz, actualy mine stable at 1.04v for 3Ghz.. but depend on what stress testing ur using, smallfft or blend? you can bump more vcore if failed on smallfft, and might be NB or RAM voltages if failed on blend

Those are really low volts. My chip has a low VID of 1.08, high of 1.10. I easily had it to 3.0 on the 1.08 but of course wanted to go higher. I have it at 3.8ghz using 1.30265v in bios and it sits at 1.28v in cpuz. It's a good clocking chip, have fun!

Im baffled here, how are you guys getting up to 3ghz at like 1.08volts? I got mine up to like 3.5-3.6ghz and it took like 1.30V. Ram is at stock timings...
