Help Choosing a 24" Monitor

Thread Starter
-1920x1200 or 1920x1080
-glossy
-TN panel
-height and pivot don't matter
-lowest amount of bleeding possible
-dynamic contrast is irrelevant

Gaming is top priority, image quality/gamut output is second, looks are last.

Zomg $200 24" monitor

But honestly my uncle has one and i used it over the weekend. and it had excellent picture quality. i noticed no ghosting, or screen lag. the only bad thing about it was how bright it was.

Im sure there are higher quality monitors out there though.

Samsung 2423BW and the 24" equivalent of the LG W2252TQ.

Thread Starter
I recently found out that a glossy screen allows for better image quality. Whenever I am playing a game, or watching a movie, it's dark in the room, so glaring is not an issue. I was able to keep my previous monitor perfectly clean, so I have no reason to not have a glossy screen.

I was looking for a 24", but I got sold on the Samsung 2333sw. 1 000:1 static, 20 000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1920 X 1080, 300cd/m2. It can be had for $250 at most Best Buy stores, a significant savings over the 24" T240 or similar at about $400. If you can stand the loss of 1" diagonal, have a look a it for yourself.
