So far the Acer G24 is the only decent monitor I have found with a glossy screen.
That acer looks a little overpriced for what you're getting. You may want to look elsewhere.

Gateway seems to be the only other one with glossy screens, but I am yet to see a good review for it.

In a nut shell:

2-5 ms = no lag
16 ms = 1 frame behind
33 ms = 2 frames behind

Your monitor can only display 60 FPS, 1 frame every 16.6 ms.

I do play competitively, but I've never thought this much into it. If I ever encounter a situation where that 1 or 2 frames would save my life, I would say it would be a very rare occurence, but it does happen.
I hear you. Since I posted a few hours ago, I've changed my preference to the BenQ G2400WD. A bit cheaper than the Dell as well.

Get this, the Samsung T240 HD.. I have the regular T240, and it's an amazing monitor, and the HD version has More HMDI ports than the regular one, and has a built in TV Tuner. It's a great monitor. It's on sale for $299.99. thats $100 cheaper than newegg.com, and $150 cheaper than bestbuy.. solid deal.

The T240 isn't glossy is it? I'm talking about the screen being glossy, not the bezel/cabinet.

Dell 2407WFP-HC is the best before you get into the ultra-high-end, it was like 700 when I got mine about a year ago but it's definitely worth it.
