Hey,

The NEC 20WGX2 is known as one of the best monitors, though it's 4 years old it's still really good, its a glossy AS-IPS panel, really low input lag for games.

There aren't many other none TN glossy panels, here's the only other ones I know of:
Apple 24" Led Cinema Display (this thing rocks, but it's for macs only, no converters have been made yet for the PC)
Hazro HZ24Wi 24" (I heard pretty bad things about this one)
Hyundai W240D-PVA 24"
Hyundai W241DG: 24 inch (S-IPS)

the last two I think are only available in japan

if you're forced to go matte, I'd recommend something like the NEC 2490WUXi-BK, it has a clear anti glare coating on the matte, so it's not that bad compared with other hard anti glare mattes which tend to look like the screen is covered in crystals if you sit close enough ( I could notice it on the BenQ V2400W, though It's the first matte screen I ever had, before I always used glossy )

It seems that there are 24" screen threads everyday. I am looking for a 24" as well. Every display has its cons. There is too much to sift through. I have been looking for months and still have yet to commit and buy something. Sorry to piggyback, but is there some final solution here, These LCD"s pop up a lot and already have in this thread:

T240HD
2443 (bwx (no height adjustment) and bw(ht. adj.))
BenQ e2400HD
HP2408
Dell 2408WFP
the new Samsung 2494HS?

Anyone have guidance on just picking one?

Sorry for any thread jack

Actually the Apple LED Cinema Display works with PC's. You just have to buy the mini display port to VGA or DVI adapter for $30. It is a monitor, no drivers are really necessary. It would be my next monitor if I had $900.
