[ArsTechnica] Oh, the humanity: Windows 7's draconian DRM?

Quote:
Once again, we see fanciful claims about ludicrous DRM schemes in the new Windows operating system, but a closer look suggests that Windows isn't to blame after all. Most users, in fact, won't even notice Windows 7's DRM.
Full article

no surprise here. some people publish such lies just to get noticed.

I'll be sticking with vista either way as I just don't have the cash needed to buy win7.

Good read. I'd like to see them take on some more tech propaganda.

The Geoforce GTS 250 that doubles as a ATI Radeon 450 perhaps?

The big question is what's in it for M$? Why would they allow the MAFIAA to twist their arm into locking down the OS with DRM? After all, all of the studios that the MAFIAA represents combined would not hold a candle to the money that M$ has, so to suggest they are paying M$ simply doesn't make sense.

There must be some other reason, and I think Peter Gutmann sums up what that reason might be very well.
