I don't know which is fastest, but most any current generation SSD will be a lot faster than a vrap. Also of course, 3vraps in raid will be faster than two

I ask this because i'll build a pc for a customer, and he asked which hard drives were faster

the problem is, as far as I know SSD's are not good when it comes down to write speeds... as well as capacity so, considering the price per gigabyte of the SSD's today, wouldn't it be cheaper and better to buy 2 vrap's and RAID them?

if you put in the Intel X-18E in there, that'll be faster...expensive and low capacity, but faster

Just FYI I think that SSD's do have a maximum ammount of times they can write before their no good. Don't quote me on it but im pretty sure I read it on a tomshardware arcticle.

Faster than two VelociRaptors? More VelociRaptors or one or more Intel X-25 Extreme Performance 32GB SSD.

So do sata and sas hard drives. There is a limit to how many times you can write before you start getting bad sectors. Of course this number is HUGE.
