no for this competition, you can only have 1 instance of the client running under for the team. i'm pretty sure thats what it means.

as for your other clients, you need to use them under a different name for 37726.

correct me if i'm wrong.

EDIT:

this sums it up.

Basically, I only have one icon in the task bar. Does that mean there's only one client running? Still pretty sure it isn't set up right lmao. WAit.. nevermind.. I'm getting a few ranks on Stanford's site..

mmk, help me to understand this better.

i am currently folding on my single GTX 260 and 6000+ processor.

can i just keep this setup or do i have to make a new user-name for this competition? not sure i quite understand. i have nothing else folding besides my sig rig.

so lets say that you are folding on both cpu and gpu. for cpu, you keep your name as to what it is now. if the gpu team competition, needs new names or team names, then you would change your gpu's username to a different one.

You would get 1 GPU client for the GPU team.

Since you fold on the 260 that would be the client counted for the points on the GPU Competition. The other client, CPU running on the 60000+ processor, would have to be re-configured for another user name so the points don't bleed into the competition.

So if your folding with B-Rad G on the GPU you can keep this however the CPU client would need to be configured say as B-Rad G(cpu) or something...

In my case, Ictinike is my GPU folding name and I can continue on my other GPU client as well a CPU client under Ictinike_1

[Edit] Like nafljhy stated just as I typed that, lol

From any of the folding clients that are console or stand-alone you can merely go into DOS and the path where they are installed and issue the commandline "-configonly"

For example, I installed my GPU console client in c:\\program files\\F@H\\GPU2

From here I simply renamed the long file name Folding@homeBetaGPU2ClientwhateverItHadAsALongName .exe to fah.exe

I go into DOS, go to the path above and type

fah.exe -configonly

From here a configuration prompt will guide you through the settings.

On the non-console version (don't quote me I never use it, only the DOS console versions) there is a place to specify your F@H name.. Simply choose one and re-configure the name.

Viola!
