Whats a good CPU for the P5n e SLI? I was running the Q6600, but wasn't quite happy. Should I go with a core 2 duo?

Any suggestions.. Thanks!!!

Here is a list of all cpus that P5N supports. Let us know what the budget and what you will use it for so we help you better. If you use this 650i board for your Q6600, make sure you have the correct version of BIOS.

No quads on this board, quads have trouble overclocking on it. infact ditch the board and buy a nice quad to match with it or even keep the Q6600 and buy this:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128358

P5N-E SLI is obsolete, it doesnt even have PCIE 2.0.

I too would recommend getting another motherboard instead of swapping out the quad.

And just for your own information, you can run the 45nm dual core Wolfdales with a bios update, but you will not be able to run a 45nm quad Yorfield. The NVIDIA 600i series will not run them.
