Need quick help! I am new to apple products. I have a 1st gen 8gb touch and they have an iphone. here is the info they gave me.

Quote:
you get the phone which has dual sim technology and can take 2 sim cards at once. i dont know about generation. it will come with the phone which has the same demesions as the ipod touch and iphones. you get 2 rechargable batteries. 2 chargers. the charging and syncing cord. 2 soft rubber cases (one blue and one clear)the maual and a box. i believe thats it. the phone has 8GB micro sd card in it now but upgradable to 16GB. it is unlocked to any carrier that uses sim cards. the phone is like BRAND NEW i just took the plastic that covers the screen off it yesterday. so no scratches at all on the phone itself.
Now, I probably wont be getting any service for it anytime soon so it would just be wifi use. I think im getting th ebetter end of the deal. What do you guys think?

EDIT. Well I didnt realize it was a knockoff "ifone"
Here is the original ad. Is it still worth it?

LOL, Craigs List guy wants double that.. Though, in fairness, he includes a few accessories (still not worth it IMHO).

Hey OP, as a user of Mac products (30 GB iPod & 1st. Gen 17" MBP), I say hold out for the real thing. Regardless of the random bashing based on price, they put out a good product. When it comes down to it, that's what counts

Exactly. Ive never cared for Apple much but I have to admit, their products are rather spiffy. A knockoff anything isnt really worth it. He did have some cool accessories and I would eat that up if it was real, but its not.

The CL guy also has the 8gb version, sans the high price.

But it's still not worth it, no matter what.
