I would go for HP Pavilion dv7-1130us. It is Turion RM-70. Compare the specs in dv7-1130us.

Is the RM-70 a ton better than the TL-60?

Actually the RM-70 is the 65nm version of the TL-60, which means less heat.


Also HD 3200 is WAY faster than 7150. The bottom line is there isn't anything better about the dv9912nr.

i would get the first one. the processor uses less power for longer battery life. ANd it has more memories.

Too bad the first one is "discontinued" when I try to buy it Oh well I just got the second one. From what I gather:

They both have the same 8 cell battery
They both have the same 17inch screen
I can always upgrade the ram
Too bad about the onboard video card sucking though

From looking at close-ups of both cases I dont see a row of media buttons on the first one (for controlling volume and such) which is very important to me. Also, do you think it would be worth it to upgrade to the 64bit OS? I have heard that people have problems with some drivers and what not. I have a 64bit OS at home and everything works perfectly.
