7750 should be better but it's not a performance gap worth upgrading.

Are you open to OCing this rig?
If so, the 7750 is better - And more fun.
If not, the 6000+ offers more stock GHz (3.0)

7750 definitely. It will OC to 3.2GHz easy with potential in the 3.5GHz + area.

But if he already has a 6000 I wouldn't recommend getting it.

Not much of an upgrade

Consider a Phenom II 710 though

It's really cheap and great for the price

I'd move the voltage to 1.35 or 1.375 you should be good after that

I have a Athlon 64 x2 6000+ 24/7 @ 3.5 Ghz (on air) on the following settings.

Bus HT : 250 mhz
Multi : 14x
core V : 1.375
NB V : 1.3 (this one depends on cooling you have I think )

I'd get aftermarket cooling and overclock a bit, but the out of the box 6000+ and 6400+ both out perform the 7750. Also on that note the 7750 OC'd will out perform both 6000+ and 6400+.
In short it's not worth the money to upgrade to the 7750.
