If you are going to paint your PSU, be sure to unplug it well before you handle it... even then, they can still hold a large amount of electricity, so handle with caution...

Other than that, its pretty much painting any other metallic object, though just make sure to get none on the internals...

(If I were you, I wouldn't paint it... just my opinion though)

You will void your warranty, if that matters to you.

But then again, I can't think of anything we do on here that doesn't void warranties..

I have painted my PSU, It really is easy but as mentioned above : HANDLE WITH CARE. i would say to be safe unplug your PSU atleast 24 hours before opening it up.
what id did was as follows:
1. Open up PSU and paint the loose cover without any worries,

2. Wrap all the internals
(did not remove them due to not wanting to re-solder them back onto the plug fittings) in paper with masking tape until you are sure that no paint can get through any of the holes on the outside,

3. paint away.

I even had to change where my power cables came out of my PSU as my Rad wont fit with the standard exit hole as well as changing the fan to a more powerful LED fan.

PSU are easy to work with as long as you are careful with the capacitors as they can hold a fair bit of charge for months.

Look at my MOD to see my painted PSU and power cable mod.

http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-wo...r-project.html

I will do a Guide tomorrow as i am doing my friends PSU tonight and i will document it. will post a link when Ive done it.
