This is good news, but limiting to two cards in performance mode kinda sucks. Right now the Crossfire/SLI performance on two GPUs aren't too bad. Since this Lucid chip produces the final frame, I wonder if there would be some performance gain if we overclock it (or if it's overclockable at all).

Some numbers for you:
24" LCD = ~8,901 pixels per in^2
30" LCD = ~10,126 pixels per in^2

That's about 20% better resolution.
Once again...

For me? Why thank you, but I know them....

I was trying to explain why if there's one monitor which DOESN'T need AA, it's mine. xD AA is the most effective at lower resolutions with larger pixels.

You knew the pixel densitiy 13% better?

(Typo in post above, it's not 20%).

Yeah. Trust me, I was playing with the numbers for months before I could afford the monitor. I know off the top of my head that a 24 inch has only about 60% of the pixels mine does. *Checks math* Oh wow, make that 56%

I don't know the exact dpi percentages off the top of my head, but yes, dpi is dots per (square) inch, which is pixel density.

Anyways, this topic isn't about my monitor, it's about Lucid HYDRA and how much I DO WANT.

As far as hardware news goes.

Lucid Hydra, and nVidia's ION are the only things that really keep me tuned in.

Which sucks, because it seems their hasn't really been any large innovations over the past 6 months besides these two things.

Oh man, yes. I want an ION just to try to figure out things to do with it!

Yo dawg, I heard you like computers...

Oh, and I wanna see more OLED stuff, and I want to know a LOT more about that "glasses-less 3D screen" shown off recently.
