need input for new motherboard

Thread Starter
Currently I have what is in my sig, Gigabyte P35-ds3l and its awesome I must say. But since I recently received my 9800gtx+ I absolutely love it and would like to get another one. As most of you would know, the DS3L only has one PCI-E slot. So my question is, what would be a good motherboard that supports SLI and also my Q6600 but is not insanly expensive. Ive been looking around newegg and haven't been drawn to anything inparticular so I am now here asking for some opinions. Thanks

I'm not sure if they fixed it but I think the Asus version of the 750i has/had major issues with compatibility and stability. The EVGA 750i FTW on the other hand is still considered by many to be one of the best SLI motherboards out there.

If you are looking for an sli board for 2 gpus, you are pretty much looking at the 750i chipset for 775. If you are looking to oc the quad any higher, I would suggest going for the higher end models for 750i with better volt regulators. If you aren't pushing it any higher, then pretty much any 750i board will do. If I had to choose, I would go with a xfx board. Good luck with your search
