PSU for GTX260 - Page 2

You want something over the 650W range, single rail if you wanna go low wattage /low cost

My sig rig with a dual core used about 550W under full load.. the Q9650 took it up to 700 lol.. so even with an overclocked quad, a 650 will probably be enough (I also have 14 fans, 5 HDDs, two PCIe add on cards, and a pump drawing wattage)

A good 550w will run your sig rig with a GTX260, op.

Plenty of people run the Antec NeoPower 550w with dual core and or quads and single gtx260's. I am ordering one myself next Tuesday. (GTX 260)

Manufactures specs:
Minimum of a 500 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 36 Amp Amps.)

Specs for the 550w:
Output -- +3.3V@24A, +5V@20A, +12V1@18A, +12V2@18A, +12V3@18A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2.5A

The currently go for like $60 at Fry's Electronics locally, and its the one I use in my sig as well.

GTX260 is 182w so solid 550w psu liked Corsair 550vx should be fine. With future uprgades in mind, may get the 650TX.
