[extremetech]Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard Review - Page 7

My opinion:

EPIC FAIL

A keyboard plugs into a computer, a computer can stream youtube videos onto a big display. So why have a keyboard that does it on to some little 3" Display.

It's like you have an iPhone that streams YouTube videos onto its 4" Display an so I go and buy an extention that is a 1" display that streams YouTube videos onto it's 1" Display.

WHY!!! WHAT IS THE POINT!

Agreed. I would never spend $200 on that junk. I'd pay $129 for a Das Keyboard though, electronic key goodness.

For that small of a screen that seems utterly pointless IMO. I'd never spend that much on a keyboard. I'll stick with my $15 logitech.

DO WANT without the LCD please.
If they made one with just the keyboard and no LCD, I'd be all over it.

I still think the MS Natural Multimedia Keyboard is the most comfortable keyboard i've ever used.

the newer Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 isn't bad either, but it's a little more svelt & a little less substantial imo.

You are missing the point. Yes watching video on 3" build-in LCD is hardly a good idea, however this LCD can be used for display 100 other things, some of them are nice to have.

Real time sensor reading from your system while your are gaming or something gives amazing control over the system. You basically can get any data on this screen and don't bother alt-tabbing to check something important out.

However IMHO colored LCD and 200$ price tag is a bit over the top, but those with money will get the best keyboard there is for sure. Features it provides are mostly luxury, but they are nice to have. For people, who can't afford that there is always G15 with similar features.

It would be worth $200 if that screen wasn't 320x240. It looks so puny.

It would be really cool if you could get an app that translates what you type into another language, as you type it.
