I think that's the worst advice yet
. Most consumers of any good are idiots and have no idea what they are talking about. It's particularly evident when PSUs are the focus since you can't really see a PSU working (other than on/off/exploding). Very few people have access to PSU testing equipment. If someone says it's runs their system just fine, they have no data, no proof to back that up. That's where PSU reviews come into play. Again most professional reviewers have no idea how to test a PSU. There are a select few reviewers that you can trust. Paul from [H]ardOCP, Oklahoma Wolf/jonnyGURU from jonnyguru.com and Gabe from hardwaresecrets.com make up my shortlist. There are others but they are the most knowledgeable and have the best test setups.
