Appraise: HP Pav DV6000 Laptop

HP Pavillion DV6000 Laptop:

Turion 64 X2 Mobile 1.8Ghz
GeForce Go 6150
2GB DDR2
120GB 5400RPM HDD
8x DVD MultiFunction
6-Cell Battery (doesnt last long these days)
15.4" Widescreen
Built in 1.3MP webcam
Multicard Reader
XP Pro

Laptop has a few dings and scrapes, but the screen is in perfect shape. It's probably around 18 months old or so. It runs 100% perfectly fine, but the battery is getting on in age. I also have no software installation discs for it (Can't find them anywhere) so the only thing the prospective buyer will get is the laptop itself and its charger.

So, what's a reasonable price tag?

With the battery not being strong, takes a bit off the price since they are like $60-80 depending where you buy them. A few cosmetic imperfections and depending on if you have the restore discs from Hp or if you made them from the recovery partition.

I would say about $375-400 + shipping

Thanks. I should note the recovery partition has been formatted completely so the HP backup stuff doesnt exist. It was the first thing I did when I got the laptop (wanted to rid the laptop of any bloatware). Then I just downloaded the individual drivers and whatnot.

Ahhh.. well that's ok, as long as you have a Hp OS disc to give to the prospective buyer or one that you bought with a key or one's that you made. Plus a cd with the drivers on it so they dont curse you when them need them LOL. People dont think of the os stuff until they need it and then its costs them more than they realized they should have spent.

wow used to have this exact laptop with the 12 cell battery. I would say $490-500 + shipping.

I have a dv6000 here.. its a great machine! If you sold on here, I wouldnt see it going for more than $300, but if locally or on ebay or something, you could most likely get about 400 for it.

Just to clarify, do you have an OS disk or not?
Without the OS disk, it'll take a huge hit on the value.
For drivers HP's website have them so thats not a problem.

Also will you be loading a fresh windows on it? Or just formatting and selling as is

Lastly, any warranty left?

Anyway, without knowing too much details, i'd say 300 shipped would be generous

I'd say around $450 shipped. Seems like a great laptop from the Spec. It's in good condition but is a bit old. But try putting it on here, eBay or Craiglist. Good luck selling and I hope this helped!
