Thread Starter
At the phase "Completing Installation" in Vista Installation it just stuck in hours and hours... I have tried different copies of Vista and nothing...

My Hard Drives are working fine and the same for the rams....
My bios are in fail-safe mode....

And what about... In my bios there is something about AHCI and IDE... What should I put??

What can I do?? Help please

Maybe it's tripping on your different RAM, I'm not sure. Sounds like either hard drive, memory or power supply connection.

Try running just with 2GB of Corsair and see if it works.

For your bios, you want IDE, AHCI is for raid.

No, not quite... AHCI is NOT just for sata raid. If the board has RAID, there would be 3 options, RAID, AHCI, and IDE. IDE is IDE emulation mode which makes the drives operate as a Parallel ATA IDE device. AHCI is the Advanced Host Controller Interface which allows SATA devices to operate at peak spead. If your board supports AHCI, and you are using vista, USE AHCI. Trust me, your transfer speeds will be much better. It also allows you to use SATA's advanced capabilities (such as hot-plugging and native command queuing)

As for your install problem, ensure you dont have any USB devices connected. Even the keyboard and mouse. Once you are done with the keyboard and mouse, unplug em. If anything hangs, unplug everything from the back of your computer except for the power cord and the monitor... You can leave the ethernet too... Just anything that a peripheral, take it out. External HDs, all that. Its done this to me before (Logitech G15 and G9 laser mouse) i unplugged em and it stopped hanging on install.
