Either will do fine. If your looking for good price and solid performance go tiwth AMD. If you are rich and have money go with Intel ,, that simple.. gl,

Not sure if you can get a i720 and Mobo for $550 Canadian but you could get a Phenom II and mobo for that.

But others have already replied and most are already "subscribed" to the thread. Your best bet at this point is to use the Report button to request that it be closed, or even deleted if possible.
Another option is to double-click on the Edit button of your original post in that thread and change the title to something like "Help, AMD or INTEL [Answered]", and then include a new reply of your own saying that the thread is done. Double-clicking it brings you directly to the Advanced editor, and then you'll see the title filled in for you, and all you have to do is add "[Answered]" to the end of it or something.

But Reporting it is good too, and it's even something the OCN staff have recommended me to do in the past.

Bang for your buck is AMD, i7's are very nice but expensive. It says you have 4GB of ram, whats the speed? That might also help us determine what would be better for you. If its DDR2 you can get an AM3 CPU and a AM2+ board and still use your DDR2, and if you want to upgrade later to an AM3/DDR3 board you can do that without having to buy another cpu.
