I've used both, my first pc a 286 used intel and I used intel for a few years after, then came the AMD k6 and been using AMD ever since, I guess it was the bang for buck aspect but also it was a little part of me that just rebels against the one on top.

My latest system im still with AMD, I can overlock it up to intel speed's and cheaper.

I don't see the point of starting a thread on that subject. Even Intel users get bashed by amd users once in a while. When that happens you just go your way and don't worry about these morons.

As for you 3dmark06 score of 19,000, I don't see how you can think that your Phenom at 3.6ghz couldn't be beaten by an Intel cpu. And, does it matter? No it doesn't. What matter is your level os satisfaction with your computer.

its a complete different scenario here in the philippines AMD users here are like taboo.. most hardware shops sell Intel items mostly AMD has like 2 or 3 choices on the price list.. and Intel users here are the ones who have Brag rights on forum's..

You think it's different here?

At the time of the p4, there was a lot more AMD choices in mom & pop chops. Since 2006 things have changed quite a bit, AMD is not see as much anymore.

well so far it always irritates me everytime i visit a local shop just to find out that the best motherboard is just a 780g w/c is 1 year old of a chipset already. i rarely get to see a 790gx. and i'm yet to see a mobo with 790fx and sb750. heck there's only 1 store that sells phenom 2 atm.
