Windows becomes unstable after OC'ing to 3.9GHz

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

Just after a bit of advice. I've got my CPU currently OC to 3.7Ghz without any hitches, however once it gets to 3.8 or 3.9 Windows will load but will become unstable and programs start to crash and a message pops up saying registry entries had to be restored from a backup copy. I can't seem to change the voltages for the mobo or CPU as they are greyed out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Unlock the advanced settings in your bios by disabling speed step or buy entering performance mode, or something like that. If they are grayed out they are available you just need to enable or disable something. Consult your motherboard manual.

Also make sure you can stress you CPU using Orthos for a minimum of 12 hours.
