Does the Dark Knight-S1283V (the version with the "V" in the model number) come with the crossbow backplate ( http://www.xigmatek.com/product/acce...dk-i7751.php#3 )?

It comes with this new backplate that fits both the 775 and 1366 sockets, the one you linked only works with socket 775.

Is this new backplate better than the crossbow backplate they sell separately?

It does the same thing, just a new version with more compatibility. Heres the new backplate sold separately : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233027'

EDIT: Changed the link, the old one i linked was for the 4 heat pipe xigmatek coolers.

Wanted to ask this in an existing Dark Knight thread. Would a Yate Loon D12M-12 be an improvement on the fan that comes with this Xig? Looking for a CFM and Db comparison.
