The long-awaited Dell Inspiron Mini 10 has finally made an appearance on the company’s US website, complete with full specifications and a gallery. Confirmed are the 10.1-inch display, running at 1024 x 576 16:9 with glossy finish, a choice of Intel Atom Z520 and Z530 processors (1.33GHz and 1.6GHz respectively), 1GB of RAM and either 120GB, 160GB or 250GB of storage.

There’s also WiFi - in either b/g or a/g/n flavors - together with Bluetooth, plus a standard 1.3-megapixel webcam, 10/100 ethernet and an HDMI port. Other ports include a 3-in-1 memory card reader, three USB 2.0 (one of which is powered) and audio in/out.

According to Dell, the Inspiron Mini 10’s keyboard is 92-percent the size of a standard laptop ‘board; it also has a multitouch trackpad, optional 3G WWAN and an optional internal TV tuner card, plus is capable of 720p media playback. Batteries are either a 3-cell, good for 3hrs, or a 6-cell, good for 6.5hrs. In fact all that’s left to find out is the official pricing; release is predicted for February 26th.

i'm liking the multi touch touchpad

When will OEM's get a clue and put them in their mainstream laptops?
