Is there actually a benefit to running two? SMP detects and uses all four cores on my system. It didn't seem like I was getting higher production running two SMP clients.

If you are looking to run a second smp, maybe you can try running a vmware client and get a little more out of it?

This guide is pretty straight forward imo. Linux client should net you around 20% more ppd compared to windows client.
