1 thing for sure ATI did everything they could with Crysis, since it is an unofficial bench, so custom profile won't do a thing. Talking in general custom SLI/CF profiles are only to enable SLI/CF support in games that don't have premade driver profiles and that's about it.
But it is funny how long (read years) it took ATI to implement this functionality, same functionality nVidia had right from the start with SLI.
