AMD 7750/7850 B.E Club! - Page 37

Hi,

First post on here

Can anyone help me get my idle temps down on my cpu. Have upgraded from 4200 @ 2.7 which rarely went above 55c under load.

Now my current cpu is at 3.2 with 1.424v under freezer 64 pro which i've already rotated & reseated numerous times with MX-2 thermal paste. On startup temps are about 35c but then over course of half hour will balance out at 41-46c with very light useage of firefox or word. Load temps seem to be a maximum of 62c. (temps from speedfan, pc probe)

Would it be worthwhile getting a new cpu cooler?

I think it's the CPU.

I mean seriously, it's at like 45C idle with Cool 'n' Quiet on. WTH?
UPDATE: Just hit a wonderful 56C idle while on a webpage, CnQ off, pre-set ASUS voltage. This is BS.

This Zalman cooler and this ASUS mobo suck. I'm getting a Gigabyte. I lost half my adjustable settings when I flashed a new BIOS.

Does anyone know the normal voltage for the 700V Northbridge?

So if this thread is the now the final merged Athlon X2 7750 BE Club, shouldn't we have the spreadsheet with the OCs as in the tread that Triple C started?

Here is a sig club members can use.

The Real AMD 7750 BE Club

I'm using the sig.

Also, I found out why my temps were so high. It turned out this room was 90°F (32°C)... I should figured that out, everything was running warm in my case. HDD was at 38C, where it's 26 now. Motherboard was at 42, it's 32 now. GPU was 56, it's 49 now. CPU and cores are at 38/14 respectively, while yesterday my highs were 56/31. Ouchie.

I guess we're good now. I still hate this motherboard. SB700 = no ACC = fail.

mm cool, 13 x 254 is also my most stablest 3.3 GHz clock, but i never actually got it stable, kind of gave up now, spent 3 weeks finding a 3.3GHz clock, only 13 x 254 lasted 20 min OCCT

but then again u have a 750 SB and 790 board ~~

Safe Temp I'd say no more than 60°C/140°F
