wow, the 4850 is raping hard although i don't get why the xfire 4870 1gb does worse than the xfire 4870 512

Yes, they tested at 1680,1920 and the 2560. Just click the link under each benchmark in the review for the resolution that you would like to see and the graph will change.

I wish they had tested on a wider range of drivers, up to and including 9.2.

Crossfire doesn't scale at all in WoW. That's strange, considering Blizzard and AMD/ATI are partners/affiliates...whatever the term is.

Well I definitely won't be buying another 4870 1GB if those results are accurate. Crossfire and SLI have always seemed overrated to me even back when I had my 2x 3870's.

It depends on games, for an example in AOC, Fallout 3 and Far Cry 2 in this review the 4870 1GB cards scaled much better then the 4870 512MB versions.
