that costs WAYYYY too much for those parts. im gonna bet that you are getting a way to expensive case+psu. save some money with something like the antec 300 or 900 or cooler master cosmos S and a corsair or pc p&c psu.
id also reccomend the 1gb 4870 or wait for the 4890 1gb and get something cheap like a 4830 in the mean time, then sell the 4830 and only take like a $30 hit (they are $75 after rebate now, u wont lose much).
supposedly it will be 30% faster.

Corsair it is. Case is still up in the air, I am a fiend for quality, and might have to splurge on my case. Ill see what kind of deals I can work out at my local shop. At this point, they are easier and better than ordering online and very flexible I might add.

I am sadly going to say that I wish I didn't sell my s939 gaming system.

*edit*
I will be +rep'ing those that give good advice. I wont be doing it until I buy my parts . So if you hang in here you'll get a treat!

@sgdude: Unless they release it at an amazing price point, I doubt I will be willing to pay the premium for a just released card. Thats why in the past I always stay a step down from the top, you could say for value purposes, but that extra 30% is tickling my wallet.

Change the mobo to a GA-EP45-UD3R. They are cheaper than the P5Q-E and OC better.

PSU to a Corsair TX750 which will candle CF if needed

HSF is either the TRUE120 or S1283

Q6600 to Q9550 certainly worth it

CM690, Antec 900 or even the Antec 1200 for the best performing cases.

If the OCZ ram is mroe expensive than G.skill ones then swap them

Also what monitor will be used for this?

Get the Mugen 2. It's not black but at $40 it is as good as the TRUE and the base is already lapped from the factory to mirror flat.

How much do you wana spend for the case? If you really want nice quality you should go with the silverstone in my opinion, have you looked at the silverstone TJ-09? Nice case, v.expensive though.

Also, I think it's worth getting a decent power supply, at least it will last you a long time. Same goes for the case. I bought a cheaper case and 550w power supply and as soon as I start earning, I'm gonna upgrade them. But if I just saved like an extra 50 quid at the time, I probably wouldn't even think of upgrading the case, so if you've got the money, I'd go for something high quality that's gonna last.
Finally...

Well...Thats alot of advice, I made some changes and some adjustments.

Probs going to stick with a Q6600, but who knows.
Just going to grab an antec p182. I dont like the way the 900 or the 1200 look.
Might splurge on a 4850x2 2gb. But all this talk of the new ati stuff coming in april worries me.
PSU. I am ditching the enermax revolution and getting a corsair or a pc power and cooling (750W quad sli ready, assuming thats also crossfire)
Motherboard...havent looked into it.

Also, I was forced into a RSP (registerd savings plan) so half my budget is missing, but I always find money somewhere.
Monday is the big day. I will count my change, and head to the store. No changes can be made after that!

1) since you live in Toronto/Canada, I'd suggest you buy from Canadacomputers... looking at those prices, your build, even in CAD, is overpriced for what you're getting...

Q6600: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...505&cid=CPU.84

P5Q-E: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...815&cid=MB.157

2) You don't need a 950W power supply... For your system including the 4850X2, you could buy this, and save the money on something else:

Corsair TX750: http://www.canadacomputers.com/index...709&cid=PS.808
