Well first you will need a nVidia graphics card thats a 8series or higher.

Next you will need these nVidia 3d Glasses

Finally you will need a monitor that is capable of a 120Hz refresh rate.

Now with all of these items you will be able to enjoy your 3d experience.

There are a few options for "3d-capable" monitors/tv/projectors out there. Depending on your budget is what will determine your selection.
Now if you think these lcd monitor/tv's are to expensive you can still bust out a old CRT monitor that is capable of running @ 120Hz and have no problems with that either.

This is definitely not a cheap item by any means but it was worse every penny in my book. I play nearly ALL my games in 3d except for Counter-Strike: Source because the crosshair doesnt focus properly when looking down a map.

I hope this helps.

The best way to put it is if you ever seen a "3d" movie... But if not, everything has depth and even at times depending on what game your playin even looks like things pop out at you. It's pretty trippy, I find myself sometimes tryin to grab things but I know I wont be able to lol.

completely worth the 600$ price tag(monitor+glasses)
Im not familiar with the setup , but if its like regular 3d doesn't it have to render the scene more then once to get the 3d look? i remember watching old 3d movies and if you take the glasses off you see like the picture x 3 or so...Thats gotta put some load on your hardware no? what kind of framerate hit to you take enabling the 3d? it sounds awesome...my monitor is only 60hz though so i wont be trying it out anytime soon...

Will you account the 3D Vision Set for the PlayStation as well when it comes out?

I don't have it, but my wife has an IZ3D monitor with glasses. Does that count?

Note that the monitor will need to be able to accept a 120Hz input (meaning dual-link DVI-D). Some screens that are marketed as 120Hz just double it internally and don't actually accept that as the input. It is mostly the new 120Hz HDTVs that you have to worry about, so if anyone was thinking to do some 3D gaming on a 42" HDTV, do a LOT of research.

That is very true Zap, beware of those hdtv's that do that but my monitor was part of the nvidia bundle and I know that it supports dual-dvi

As far as the IZ3D glasses/monitor combo I'm not aware of how they work do they use the same technology as nvidia with the shutter glasses?

Hi,

I managed to get a try of this at a gaming expo a few weeks ago. I loved it and would be really interested in investing in it. Only problem is, i bought a Panasonic TX-32LZD85 a year ago which i run my computer and other gaming devices through. As it cost so much im not really wanting to invest in a different monitor. Especially a smaller one as this is 32".
Now, when i was trying the glasses out, i wanted to know if they'd run at 100Hz as that is what my tv is capable of. I turned down the refresh rate on the monitor i was using and it did in fact work.
What i don't know however is if this will work on my TV. Does anyone know?
