1-) How good is this card in 3Dvision?

2-) Would you rather I go 570 SLI or single 590 for 3D vision?

3-) can we play in 3d with any resolution?

I know in 3Dtvplay you can only play 720p @ 60fps... 1080p only allows 24 fps which sucks.

4-) Is ASUS 23" VG236H a good monitor? Does it support 3dvision v2?

Thanks in advance.
A GTX570 will work fine for most games in 3d vision but there are a lot of games where that won't be enough horsepower. 3d vision will cut your framerate in half. The cpu can be a bottleneck too.

With 3dvision you can use any resolution up to 1920x1200 in 3d but the largest 3dvision display is only 1920x1080. 3dtvplay is different. Thats for a 3d display with hdmi 1.4, you can also use tridef.

The Asus VG236h is a good display. There are better options out there for 3d but it is one of the better 120hz displays in 2d. It also does not support 3d vision 2. Its going to be a little while before you start to see 3d vision 2 displays on the market.

Thanks for the response Bababooey

So ı better go invest in another 570 before purchasing a 3D monitor.

To be honest I hated the quality of 3Dtvplay and never returning back to it. But i know that 3Dvision quality is better now.

I dont have to play some games in 1080p in 3D, i would be happy with 720p in 3d unless the monitor is good...

So my goals are set

First get another 570 to have a SLI
and than grab a 3D monitor.

How are the qualities of Samsung 3D monitors? They seem to be cheaper

The Samsung 23" and 27" monitors don't don't support 3d vision. You can get it to work with a hack but I hear that it doesn't work too well. The Asus that you mentioned really isn't a bad choice at all. If you can find the Planar SA2311W that is the way to go. The 24" Benq might be another good option.

It might not be a bad idea to just pick up the monitor first. You'll be surprised with how well most games will run on a single GTX570. The first thing that I did was go and revisit a lot of older titles anyways. Then if you aren't happy pick up a second video card.

Even with regular 2d gaming the 120 refresh rate is just so much more fluid. You'll really like it.

Thanks for the response once again. I am looking for the Planar one but unfortunately its not sold here in Turkey and ebay sellers dont ship here so i am pretty much doomed. It seems a good monitor in cost wise as well.

Looked for the BENQ model too and same story, however it seems a bit more expensive.

It does seem that Asus 23 one is my only option as my other option is Acer but i prefer Asus over it.

I currently have a Samsung b2230 which has a VGA input only. I use it with a vga/dvi converter. So would my gaming really be better in 2d if i buy a 120 hz monitor over the one i am using?

That Asus is much, much better than the 23" Acer. Just avoid the 23" Acer at all costs. Its an awful display.

I thought that the higher refresh rate was noticeable. To me everything felt much more fluid.
