Good god man...that's impressive.

Anyways, can anyone recommend me a good Blu-Ray drive? When 3D Blu-Ray playback becomes available via a driver update, later this month I heard, I'd like to be set. I'm wondering what the requirements are for 3D via Blu-Ray. According to Nvidia, all you need is a "2x speed Blu-ray drive". Does this mean virtually any Blu-Ray drive will be compatible with 3D playback via Nvidia's 3d vision kit?

I would get something like this. You should be good with that drive. All you need now is CyberLink Power DVD 10 Ultra 3D, so you can convert any Blu-ray into 3D, once the update comes out...

Asus is coming out with a 27" 120Hz LCD. It was announced a while back, but I still haven't seen it yet. Currently, there are very few options for 120Hz LCDs at 1920x1080. It comes down to the Acer GD235HZ and the Alienware AW2310.

The Mitsubishi DLPs have had 120Hz support for some time. I have a 65734 I bought 3 years ago - unfortunately, it was one year too early, as next year's 65735 model added 120Hz 3D support. Now all of their models have it. Personally, for home theater 3D, I'm waiting for the new Panasonic plasmas to come down a bit in price.

Dsplifff has a newer Mitsu DLP and it says it has 120Hz support. I am close friends with him and told him what to buy and set it up for him and he bought the C9 model. I can tell you for a fact the newer 120Hz model DPL's from Mitsu do not do 120Hz. After getting the TV all set up, Windows reports a refresh rate of only 60Hz not 120Hz. DLP's use a different way of transmitting 3D signals, FYI

Really? They've claimed 3D support for a couple years now (since the 735/835 series). What sort of 3D mechanism do they support then? Did that set have a dual-link DVI connection?

No uses HDMI port #3 on the TV but uses a wobulation method from the DLP chip to do the 3D and does not do 120hz natively. Thats all I was trying to say, was that the Mitsu 3D ready DLP's do not do 120hz as advertised. Only 60hz

On another note the 257 WHQL 3D Vision drivers are out and can be downloaded here

I'm at work right now so I can't test these babies out. Hopefully they added in our windowed 3D support so we aren't forced to run 3D in fullscreen anymore. Did not see any mention of this in the release notes so I am just crossing fingers here. I did see they added our 3D Blu-ray support!!!!
