[Official] Nvidia 3d Vision + 3d Surround Club - Page 151

3d vision only works over dual link DVI. HDMI 1.4 only supports the 3d tv style 3d methods like Tri-def, IZ3D, or Nvidia's 3dtv play (which is different than 3d vision).

Its nice to have options though. Tri-def or IZ3D works well for some of the games that just don't work all too well with 3d vision. I would at least give these methods a shot.

Why?

I trust ASUS having owned their products over BenQ. Just my own personal preference. Here are the specs on that ASUS.

Asus VG236H 23" 3D HD Monitor

TFT-LCD Panel
Panel Size: 23" (58.4cm) Wide Screen
Color Shine Technology
True Resolution: 1920X1080
Pixel Pitch: 0.265mm
Brightness(Max): 400 cd/㎡
Contrast Ratio (Max.): 100000 :1
Display Color: 16.7M
Viewing Angle (CR≧10): 170°(H) /160°(V)
Response Time: 2 ms
Asus VG236H 23" 3D HD Monitor

Comes with Nvidia glasses so take that into the cost consideration. The only down side is in a lighted room if lights are behind you, may see glare. Otherwise it adds a crisp look.

Hey guys

I told you that I would Either go for Benq or Asus models for 3dvision

But I came across a deal here for Acer GDZ245HQBID... Its only 450 bucks where as I mentioned before Benq İs around 650 and Asus is around 759 US dollars.

Therefor I would lean towards the Acer GDZ245HQbid

Would you recommend this monitor for 2D and 3Dvision gaming?

How are your inputs on this?

( i know it would probably not be a perfect monitor but still )

Coming from a middle of the road 60hz display I was disappointed with that Acer. Both the Benq and the Asus blow that monitor out of the water. I know that is a large difference in price but I think that its worth it. There is nothing that the Acer 235hz/245hq does well. It even has a noticeable input lag.

Thanks for the input

What about the LG model?

236w3d one...

IS it inferior to Asus and BenQ 3D monitors as well in terms of 3Dvision?
