Just the Asus VG278h is a 3d vision 2 ready monitor but a lot of people have been having some pretty severe issues with backlight bleed. I would avoid that display for a while. Other than that Benq should be releasing the XL2420T very soon which is a lightboost display (3d vision 2).

I read that the new Samsung 950 something works with 3DVision if you hack the Nvidia drivers to recognize it as a valid monitor. Of course, that information was deleted promptly by an Nvidia moderator on its forums, so you'll have to find that info elsewhere now.

(Won't work with the Samsung 750 because it doesn't take DVI and doesn't do HDMI 1.4 IIRC.)

I haven't heard the best results with that hack to be honest. I guess that with checkerboard you can trick your 3dtv or samsung monitor into thinking that your tv is a monitor and use 3d vision as apposed to 3dtvplay. Its about on par with 1080i.

Ok. But how much would the xl2420t go for? And no one knows if it's a good display overall since it isn't out yet?

I would expect it to release around what old 24' 120hz benq sold for. There will also be a model with a built in ir emitter according to their website I'm sure that will cost a bit more.

That said I would play the waiting game when it gets released. The Benq first gen 120hz had quite a few issues at release that were cleared up with later revisions. The only lightboost display on the market seems to have some serious issues. My first Planar SA2311w had some issues that were cleared up with a later revision. Let the early adopters beta test for you.

Hey folks

I started another thread but also would like your ideas too

The day has finally come

I have finally saved the money for a 3D monitor...

Here are my options

1-) Asus 23 Vg236H

2-) Acer GN245HQMBID (not the GD version)

3-) Benq 2410T

They are all roughly around the same price range in Turkey. 700 US Dollars. Benq excludes emitter and glasses though.

For 3Dvision and 2D120hz gaming which one would you buy?

I will buy the monitor tonight.

Thank you.

And that is how much?

So the 2410T was revised several times already?

So I have some bad news... My 2233rz has died... Backlight is dead in it. It will turn on for about 2 seconds then turn back off. I'm going to call Samsung tomorrow to see if I can RMA it. IT's been slightly less then 3 years since I purchased it however I forgot to register it then. So I don't even know if they will honor my RMA request.

In the event that they don't I will either need to figure out how to fix this monitor or... frown.gif Have to replace it. So in the meantime I'm 3d-less frown.gif

Update: Called Samsung, it's still under warranty, they are shipping me out a box for the monitor and I'll be back in business in no time wheee.gif

Now that is good service and a major contrast from what I've been hearing from Asus VG278h owners.
