Downloaded the latest version but no luck

It says something like Nvidia 3Dt vision player could not play the file

and says that I might be missing a codec but does not tell which one.

EDIT : Downloaded the Klite coded pack and now it works AWESOME really.

ASUS VG278H
- 27 '' - 1920x1080
- Includes 3D Vision 2 Glasses, 3D Lightboost, HDMI 1.4 3D Support, Built-in Emitter, 3D Vision Surround-Ready, 120Hz
pros
ros27in, 3d lightboost, hdmi 1.4 shoud be able to hook up my ps3 3d to it also
cons
backlight bleed, poor QC, expensive
Is this really made with low quality? I'm wondering because I'm actually considering the idea of upgrading to this monitor down the road. It would be a great upgrade for me because of how big the monitor is (I sit further away from my monitor than most people).

I could not find a better place to post this question. So I apologize if you see it as spam.

Is 3D vision THAT great? I have only seen videos, and read reviews. I have never tried it out.

Like, do professionaly FPS gamers chose to play on 3D? I dont understand the hype personally. Is playing BF3 on 3D that much greater than on just a gtx580?

I do not know anyone who owns a 3D setup, and I cant afford one right now. So please enlighten me on the whole deal.

And what is 3D Sound?

There have been some major quality control issues recently. There is the backlight bleed and issues with the ir. These things could be worked out in the future but I would wait a few months with this display to see if displays are still shipping with these sorts of issues. This isn't the first 120hz display to have some issues at launch.

Hardcore FPS players pretty much never play in 3D unless they want to have fun i guess.. just my 2 cents.

Ever watched a 3D movie? You can easily see that in a 3D movie the 3d effects might be so awesome that you would always opt to watch it in 3D instead of 2d.

This is exactly the same with games.

Pretty much every single game i played is so awesome to play in 3d (with a good hardware of course) that i would not go back to 2D gaming of that specific game..

Lets take a loot at Battlefield 3.

I played the game last month for a long time and loved it. Today tested it in 3D and loved it even more. However i had to decrease the graphics quality as in 3D the frame per second gets cut in half.. So lets say that if you are having 50 FPS in Battlefield 3, with exact settings in 3D you would get 25 fps per eye which would be unplayable. Thats why you will have to disable AA or other settings to get 50 fps per eye. In other words those settings would give you 100 fps in 2D mode.

In modern games that an issue but in lesser demanding games its not.

I mean I am playing Duke Nukem Forever in 3D now and i have pretty much everything in FULL...

3D is tricky.

Some will love it and some will hate it.

You ought to try it for yoursef

And a GTX 580 is just fine in 3D although i can easily see that the best possible experience would be either 570 SLI or 580 SLI or a single 590

3D surround on the other hand is where you have 3 monitors next to each other and have a surround effect. 2D surround itself is demanding and 3D surround is of course extremely more demanding that i doubht a 580 will be able to handle it.

I play most of my games in 3D thumb.gif
And I'm better at racing in 3D!!!!
And if there's a part in the game that I need to go non-3D, I just push the "green NV logo" on the emitter. And it instantly puts you in non-3D smile.gif

Mafia 2 in 3D is REAL eek.gif
And GTA IV smile.gif It's just like your screen becomes like a stage! And your looking in to it!

Airjunkie, do you have any of those cheap colored 3D glasses?
If you do. LOOK HERE LINK at a screenshot I did of Trine 2 in 3D smile.gif

And that reminds me smile.gif
I have loads I need to upload to NVidia biggrin.gif

I'll be back medieval.gif

Oh okay, so they just recently launched, huh? Well, I guess it's a good thing I'm not planning on investing in one right now then. smile.gif

Hey folks

I got how you can take in game 3D pictures.

But is there a way to capture 3D gameplay?

if yes how and also would there be a performance decrease in the game?
