Its only a problem with 301.34, afaik. I would try out 301.40. I know that a couple of people have fixed it with 301.33.

BTW is vsync broken for everyone else in 3d with Kepler? Every review that I've seen has framerates over 60fps just like I see. Screen tearing is very annoying in 3d.

Unfortunately, since this problem is not uncommon, a replacement Acer monitor may have the exact same problem.
Just warning you ahead of time.
As for my monitor, the problem fixed itself after 6 months. it works fine now.
The problem can be temporarily fixed by disconnecting power to the monitor.
Turning off the monitor will not fix it.
Power must be disconnected for approx 20 seconds or more.

If you are lucky, the problem will stop, by itself, after a few months.
The blurry text is normal and happens when "overdrive" is on.
But, of course, you should see blurry text on both sides of the screen.

That fixed it wheee.gif

What does it mean when you guys say 60Hz "surround"? Is that concerning sound systems?

Did anyone test Diablo 3 in 3D?

 

does it suffer from a typical double mouse cursor problem that games like Diablo suffer from?

 

like Torchlight and Titan Quest? They both had double mouse cursor issue.

Ive seen alot of problems people have had with d3 in 3d vision.. however, i personally found a good setting that seemed to have minimal problems, at least in town (no double cursor). when i was in a dungeon, and there was movement, it became more obvious that it was not very good. the shadows were terribly placed, sometimes a good 2-3 inches (27inch monitor) from my character. fixing the settings to make the shadows display correctly left other issues with most other objects.

i'd recommend somehow disabling shadows and then trying to get it customized for your view. there may be other issues that i didnt notice though, i only had it on for @5 minutes just to check it out.

AAA titles should also focus on Surround gaming and 3D gaming. THey have the budget and support.

 

I really hate developers sometimes.

 

Diablo 3 is a game that people were dying for to play and lots of people are convreting to 3D and now we have mediocre 3D for diablo 3? Sux to be honest.

I dont have a 3 monitor setup but i am with you.

 

I mean you are a company that earns the most amount of money on a specific game, and yet your 3D support and surround support is extremely poor.

 

I hope a well done 3D and surround should be a standart in 2012 or 2013.

S3D and wide-screen gaming are extremely niche market. It accounts for what, 1-5% of all users? Yet it probably requires a significant number of man/hours in dev and testing for game studio to implement proper support for both. Unfortunately, in most cases it's just cost/expected return thing. Sadly, this is reality. Until we see wider adoption of 3D and surround/eyefinity, I'm afraid things will stay the same.
