I have a VG278H monitor and love it. PS3 3d games and blu ray movies work perfect with it. You have to mak sure your HDMI cable is 1.4, and make sure when you start your PS3 that you go into your settings to make sure it recognized your 3d monitor. Uncharted 3 looks very nice in 3d btw

So PS3 does work with this monitor's 3D ?
I ask because it doesn't on BenQ T, but does on BenQ TX...

@all
Is it recommended to set the monitor to 120Hz even without gaming? No disadvantages of doing so?

WOW sorry shoulda reread that post.

I meant 560 non-TIs.

I'm running dual evga 560s in SLI (the non-ti models) and in most titles they double my FPS vs. using a single card. I'd say that at the very least, I get an additional 50% FPS -- so you can expect anywhere from 50-100% performance boost.

It allowed me to upgrade to 3D Vision and do so at playable frame rates -- dual 560s SIGNIFICANTLY outperform a single 580 (somewhere in the +50% performance area).

If it works on the PS3, then it will work on a computer through HDMI as well.

I still haven't decided between Asus and BenQ TX =/
Don't know if 27" is too big for me.
What I trully don't like about the Asus model is that emitter, it looks like a fake webcam, so ugly! How did BenQ manage to put an emitter inside the monitor and hide it, and Asus couldn't?

3D or not, I personally think 27" is far too big for 1080p resolution.

3d effects are more pronounced on a larger display. Also most of the issues with the larger dot pitch can be worked out with more AA.

I agree that it is probably a bit much for regular desktop usage most of the time though.

I have one and think it looks good. Nothing like a fake webcam, whatever that is. To me its a little lump that reminds me that at any moment I can switch any game to the best 3d known to man.
100X better than the pyramid dome that was the earlier transmitter.

Yeah, that's true. But even though, not as good as an invisible emitter (like BenQ's).
So guys, I'm actually a developer myself, I do lot's of coding, texturing, 3D modelling and all, do you think 27" will hamper my work for it being too big, and that 24" would be the best size? I have a 21.5" right now.

We need Apple to make a 27" 3D Vision 2 monitor with Retina Display, with 326 ppi rolleyes.gif
