Dont get me wrong, they are not perfect yet, i will still see a tiny bit of ghosting with the highest contrast foreground to background ex. black on top of white, i have only seen it very few times. Even the 3d vision 2 glasses are upgraded, the glasses don't dim when you turn them on, like all the other active 3d glasses. The only way I can tell that they are even on is by looking at the 3d image.
The Samsung S27A950D has a little better 2d picture with better contrasts and black levels. But when it comes to 3d it is not even in the same league as the Asus.

I thought that the BenQ Xl2420TX is the best monitor out?

There are only two 3d vision 2 monitors on the market. I haven't seen a good back to back comparison between the two but I've heard good things about the both. That said 3d effects tend to look better on larger panels so based on that alone you probably have to give the edge to the Asus VG278H.

I'm happy going from a VG236H to a VG278H, the vision 2 is indeed a lot better. I hadn't used my 3D in a while on the 23", but the better brightness will probably get me to game more, along with the HDMI 1.4 input, I've got my DirecTV DVR connected up to it and watching some of the Olympics in 3D.

One question I have for the vision 2 people is, where do you keep your glasses? With the vision 1 glasses, they were just small enough that they fit in a spare Oakley hard case that I had, so they were nice and protected. I'm not crazy about the bag that came with the vision 2 glasses, nvidia got cheap on it. I wish they had made it about 10% larger, cuz it's a bit of a pain getting those glasses into the bag. And being larger, they don't fit the Oakley case. I'd love to find something hard to put them in.

^My vision 2 glasses have a small drawer that is reserved for the 3d glasses only, but know that you make me think about it I might have an old Oakley case that it can go in. thumb.gif

Hey Guys, (sorry for the re-post, but this thread seems more active then the "2d surround club")

I wonder if you guys could please help me.
I recently acquired 3 Samsung Monitors and have been wanting to run Nvidia 2d surround. The monitors are All Samsung's, they are: SyncMaster BX2450, SyncMaster s23a350h, SyncMaster s24b370h.

Before I attempted 2d surround, I made sure that all the monitors supported the same common resolution 1080p, at the same refresh rate as well as the same SYNC POLARITY.
They are identical in those aspects. The problem I have, is when I try to apply "Nvidia surround" it just reverts back to a multiple display setup. I have made sure to NOT use "d-sub" and made sure all the inputs are correct. The Nvidia surround preview detects all the displays have been inserted into the correct ports, and highlights them "GREEN" as in being correct.

I have upgraded my drivers to 301.42. It just does the same thing.

I am running two EVGA GTX 670s FTW in SLI.

Rest of my rig is below. I've searched everywhere to try and solve the problem, even created custom resolutions, but it says they are all identical.
Don't know if i'm missing something straight forward here...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDGE.

Yes, I've tried them at 59Hz and 60Hz. Such a strange issue, I cant find a mismatch anywhere to work on.

Ok, I'll try it that way! It must be something to do with the monitor inputs, will try different configurations.
