Don't go that far, aside from the 3d support I'm hearing that Doom 3 bfg is a pretty big disappointment.

Confirmed that doom 3 BFG runs on High quality, and not Ultra.

So for PC its actually worse graphics then in 2004 :/ Fail

NVidia changed the LED signal so now it flashes while charging and is solid when charged smile.gif
So your glasses are fine thumb.gif

Also. It's best to only charge the glasses when they need charging, as opposed to topping them up!
This is because Li-Po batteries decay faster at full charge!
And with this in mind. I only charge my glasses if I think I'll be using them that day! That way, they don't stay at full volts for very long smile.gif

Thanks for the info.

Now that i have messed with the 3d vision, all i can say is WOW. I have 3 BenQ XL2410T monitors and acer H5360 3d vision ready projector. So far BenQ doesnt stand a chance against acer. Sadly ghosting becomes too much of a problem with benq monitors, on acer i didnt see any ghosting/crosstalk. 120" ghostfree image is really something.... Though 720p is bit of a downer, but 3d makes up for it. Actually 3d image quality looks much sharper and better than 2d IQ for some reason and with good AA gaming looks gorgeous.

Next step would be to try 3d vision surround, i only tested 3d with one benq to easily test what the fuss is all about smile.gif

e. Are there games out that has a good popout effects? I see a lot of that in the movies(watched avatar and some imax 3D documentaries). Sure depth is more important, at least for me, but sometimes a guy wants some popup biggrin.gif Also i noticed my friends werent really impressed by the 3d vision depth, but they were truly amazed with the popout effects of the imax under the sea 3d movie. Cant blame them though, the whole movie took a place in my living room.

I am more concerned about 3D and max resolution, than lack of the ultra setting.
Will Doom3 BFG work in 3D without Oculus Rift?
What are the final specs on the Oculus Rift? please tell me 1080p @ 60Hz will be an option.

Its true what they say. The bigger the better with 3d. The larger the screen area the farther a 3d object(which is 2 objects in 2d) can be from each other, that in turn gives an objects more 3d depth or pop-out effect. 120inch screen in 3d eek.gif Must look amazing! Only reason i didnt get a large 3d projector for gaming is the input lag time, which is pretty high, and I play a lot of competitive multiplayer online so thats a no no. Also the 720p aspect (but I believe there are some work arounds to get 1080p in 3d 60fps on some projectors.

For me ghosting ruins a 3d picture and the immersion effect is lost. The new 3d Vision 2 monitors are so much better in that aspect!

All games can have pop-out effect(foreground). Some just work much better with the effect that others. 3rd person view games work the best with more pop-out IMO. Best one for me has been Max Payne 3. Amazing game in 3d!!!!!! You can set your character to be out of the screen, almost standing on your desktop which looks amazing. Best 3d effect IMO is a mixture of pop-out 3d and depth, the environment can look 10ft deep behind you monitor/TV and you have the pop out effect also to totally immerse you in the 3d world. Of course this works better if your total field of view is saturated with the 3d image, hence why I went with 3 3d monitors (3d Surround).

So to adjust this 3d pop out effect you speak of you have to understand 3d convergence. The 3d convergence plane can be adjusted in most games from hot-keys that are in your Nvidia control panel->Stereoscopic 3d->Set keyboard shortcuts->Enable advanced in-game settings.

So the 3d convergence plane is the point at which the eyes converge(Lt & Rt meet) on the 3d environment . Objects behind that plan look as if they are behind the screen(3d depth). Objects in front of that plan look as if they are in front of the screen(pop-out effect). Illustrated in the pic below.
converg2.jpg

Now how your eyes interpret that effect is shown in this pic. Your left & right eye work as the 2 cameras in the pic. The point where each eye's line of site meet(or cross) represents the convergence point. You can adjust this point forward or backward with the in game Nvidia option. Default is (Ctrl+F6) & (Ctrl+F5) Moving this point will make the apple appear behind the screen, at screen level, or infront of it.
converg1.jpg

Probably more than you wanted to know, LOL, but thats my shpeal for the day biggrin.gif

Thanks, that brief was more than welcome, i was going to search an explanation like that today. And i missed the 3d convergence option in NV control panel, need to take a closer look at that.
